Mercedes Benz has been making fantastic luxury cars for more than a century. From off-roading vehicles, to ultra luxury sedans, to Formula 1 Teams, Mercedes has been a staple in the car history books. During 90s, Mercedes was at the end of its golden era. Cars were over engineered and built to go hundreds of thousands of miles. The in cabin quality was unmatched, feeling solid and luxurious with its wood trims and plush leathers. ABOUT THIS SL500

The SL line is the ultimate luxury cruiser in the brand's lineup. This SL500 is the last version of the R129 model which includes the bulletproof M113 5.4L v8 engine with more than 300hp. It is equipped with sleek xenon headlights, has a fully functional electronically operated soft top as well as the color matched hard top. With just 67k miles on the odometer the car shows very little wear for its age and overall top condition.

Over a year of work has been put into this SL500 to bring it up to our standards. All work done is documented at the end of this post.

EXTERIOR

The car wears a clean coat of Jet Black paint with very minor imperfections. The wheels are refinished and spotless with the calipers looking incredibly clean as well. The Xenon headlights give the car a modern appeal yet remains classic. The badging is all present, the door handles are color matched, and the fabric on the top is in excellent condition with no leaks. Cosmetically, the car is an honest 9.5 out of 10 (10 would be brand new from factory). Let the pictures below speak for themselves.

INTERIOR

The interior of this R129 is gorgeous. The black interior is spotless, elegant, and desirable. The cherry wood accents are a visual and tactile experience, with no visible cracks or rash. The leather seats show minor wear for its age and exceptional for the mileage (which is still low). All buttons are clean and crisp and all the features operational. The gauges scream classic Mercedes and are all functional. The soft top operates flawlessly with a single push of a button. Sit in it and indulge in Mercedes Benz's golden era interior.
